MEETING AGENDA

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day...

So we eat while we work, and get a good start to the day, along with a good start to valuable business opportunities. Members and visitors meet around 6.45am for an early networking opportunity and a coffee.

Prompt start

The meeting beings at 7.00am prompt with a welcome from the chapter director, and an introduction to the leadership team followed by a summary of the purpose of BNI - givers gain. Members and visitors will have already helped themselves to a hot or cold buffet breakfast before sitting down. Then it is straight into quotes for the day and the education slot.

Business Cards

All members carry each others business cards to pass on when making referrals, so next the Business Card Box is passed around so that everyone can refill their card files. Visitors also have an opportunity to pass around their business cards too.

60 seconds

Next is an important part of the meeting where members in turn get 60 seconds to present any part of their business. It could be educating everyone more on what they do in business or specifically asking for a type of referral or customer. Visitors are welcomed and introduced and asked to speak for 60 seconds about their business.

10 minutes

Time for a breather as various committee reports are presented followed by a 10 minute presentation from the member chosen to be the speaker that week. This is a major opportunity for each member to expand on their business details, help the other members understand what they offer and what kind of referrals they are looking for.

Referrals and testimonials

This is the highlight of the meeting and the opportunity to pass referrals to other members and to say what is being done to find and follow up referrals. Members also give testimonials on work done by other members which always speaks volumes for the quality of work being passed.

And so to work...

The meeting draws to a close with the Secretary's report and various announcements of committee meetings and workshops. There is a Door Prize for the members bringing referrals or visitors which is donated by the member giving the 10 minute speech. The meeting closes at 8.30am but there is open networking and fresh tea and coffee for those who wish to stay.
